What we do with your details

PT HUT LTD is responsible for the details collected through this website. If you want to ask about anything on this page, or make one of the requests further down, email pthutuk@gmail.com.

Only what you type into one of the two forms: reserving a place on the diploma, or joining the waiting list for the Continued learning community. There is no account to create. If you accept analytics cookies we also learn how the site is used, which is covered under Cookies and analytics below.

Like any website, our host Vercel records the technical details of each visit, including your IP address, to keep the site running and secure. When you send a form, the website also briefly checks that address, for no longer than a day, so that one connection cannot flood us with messages. We do not use either to identify you.

Both forms ask for

Your name

so we know who we are writing to.

Your email address

so we can reply to you.

Your phone number

so we can reach you if email is not working.

Roughly where you are based

so we know who is near a venue.

What you tell us in your own words

which is whatever you choose to write.

Reserving a place also asks for

Which intake you want

so we hold the right place.

Where you are starting from

so the reply is useful rather than generic.

Whether you can travel to the practical days

because only a few remote places exist.

The waiting list also asks for

Whether you qualified with PT Hut

because it sets what the community costs you.

We also record the date and time it arrived, so we can tell how long someone has been waiting for a reply, and which of the two forms it came from.

Because you asked us to. Sending the form is a request to be contacted about a place on the course, so we handle your details to take the steps you have asked for and to run our side of the enrolment. That is what the law calls taking steps before entering a contract, together with our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our own courses.

We do not rely on consent for that, which is why there is no tick box on the form: you should not have to give permission for a reply to a message you have just sent. If we ever want to send you something unrelated, like a newsletter, we will ask separately and you will have to opt in.

Analytics is the one thing that does rest on your consent, which is why the banner asks before any analytics cookie is set.

Your enquiry is written into PT Hut’s own spreadsheet and a notification email is sent so that it gets read. That means three other organisations are involved, and none of them get your details for their own purposes:

• Google hosts the spreadsheet the enquiry is saved into, and the email account it is sent to.
• Vercel hosts this website, so their servers pass the form on. We do not store the contents of your enquiry in the website's own logs.
• Seonat built and maintains this website, so while they look after it they can reach the spreadsheet your enquiry is saved into and the hosting it passes through. They no longer receive the notification emails.

Nobody else sees your enquiry. We do not sell your details, we do not share them with other training providers, and we do not use them for advertising.

Sending an enquiry is one thing and enrolling is another, and one part of enrolling belongs on this page because it brings in an organisation the list above does not cover: the diploma is awarded by Focus Awards, not by us, so a certificate in your name cannot be issued without them holding your details.

Enrolling also creates records this website has no part in, such as your work and the assessment of it, and, if you take one of the remote places, the practical assessment you complete on film. Those are not something the website does, so this page does not set them out. If you want to know how any of it is handled, before you decide or afterwards, email pthutuk@gmail.com.

Google and Vercel are based in the United States, so the details you send through this website, and, if you accept analytics cookies, how you use it, may be processed outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as the UK’s data bridge with the United States or approved contract terms. Email us if you would like to know more.

We use Google Analytics, run through Google Tag Manager, to see how people find and use the site. Its cookies are only set if you accept them in the banner, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Our lawful basis for it is your consent.

Google receives the pages you view, how you arrived, roughly where you are and the kind of device and browser you use. It never receives anything you type into either form. When a form is sent, all it is told is that it happened, which form it was and, for a reservation, which intake and starting point were picked. When our email address is tapped, it is told that, and which page it was on. There is no advertising or social media tracking on this site.

The cookie policy lists each cookie and how long it lasts.

If you enrol, we keep your details for as long as we need them to deliver and certificate your qualification, and for as long as Focus Awards requires the records to be kept afterwards.

If you do not enrol, we keep your enquiry for two years from the last time we heard from you, in case you come back to it, and then we delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

You have the right to ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete it
• stop or limit what we do with it
• hand it over in a portable form
• stop handling it on the basis of our legitimate interests
• withdraw your consent to analytics cookies, with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page

Email pthutuk@gmail.com and we will deal with it. It costs nothing, and we have a month to reply.

Tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. You do not have to come to us first.
